RGIA hosts world’s largest cargo aircraft

Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has witnessed the world’s largest cargo aircraft ‘Airbus Beluga’ once again on Wednesday. This is second time in eight months that the cargo aircraft landed in Hyderabad airport.
The Beluga whale shaped planed is known for its ability to transport oversized air cargo. Special arrangements have been made by the GMR Hyderabad International Airport for the plane's landing, parking, and take-off. The Hyderabad Airport is thrilled to host the whale of the sky once again, airport operator GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited said. The Hyderabad airport also hosted the world’s biggest cargo aircraft Antonov An-225 in 2016. The GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo is certified with World Health Organisation’s Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification and has been accredited under the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations Programme (ISAGO).
